What's the deal with Breaker Bagel?
Like many other East-Coasters who moved to Los Angeles, Isaac Silverman grew frustrated at the lack of a local bagel scene. There were a handful of LA bagel shops he liked, but none of them quite reminded him of the ones he grew up eating.
In early 2025, Isaac decided to try his own attempt at a homemade bagel, and after months of obsessive trial-and-error, he finally landed on his perfect recipe: a puffy, malty, chewy, delicious bagel that scratched that New York bagel itch he was feeling.
Now, we're popping up all around Los Angeles serving the heavy hitters: homemade lox bagels, bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, classic bagels with cream cheese, you name it. Find us at your local cafe for a weekend pop-up, or message us to place a custom catering order!
